Forest Hills Invitational
Being one of our first weekend invitationals, we performed very well! The divers had an outstanding day, placing 1st in three divisions and 2nd in the other. Overall, with swimming, we were 2nd in two divisions, 3rd in one, and 4th in the other. Great job, ladies!! :)

This Week - Sept. 26 - Oct. 1
Please review the calendar on the website for practices times.

We have an away meet on Thursday (09/29) against East Kentwood @ 6:30pm. We also have the Freshmen/Sophomore Invitational on Saturday, 10/1/11 @ East Kentwood. Only 9th and 10th graders compete at this meet, but the entire team is expected to attend and support those athletes. If your daughter is unable to attend or compete on 10/1, please let Jenna know by Tuesday, Sept. 27th at 8pm. The entries for the meet are due at this time. Diving warm-up is 8a, Diving starts at 9:30a, Swim bus leaves at 11a, Swim warm up at 11:30a, Swim meet at 12:30p.

MISCA/Breakfast/Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 14-15)
MISCA: The MISCA meet is held at Eastern Michigan University and is a cut standard meet, meaning you have to achieve a certain time or score to be invited. The last opportunity to qualify for the meet is October 8th. Thus, at this point, we have three (or four if you are a fresh/soph) more meets to qualify: East Kentwood dual meet (09/29), Fresh/Soph Invite (10/01), Hudsonville dual meet (10/06), and Zeeland Tri Meet (10/08).

For divers, the competition is on Friday (10/14) - Jim will work with the diver girls on times/rides/etc. For swimmers, we will leave on Friday evening after practice and drive to Eastern MI, stay overnight, and swim Saturday (10/15). As soon as the meet ends, we will be driving back for homecoming. If you are worried about making it back in time for homecoming, your daughter is more than welcome to ride home with you or another family.

Applebee's Breakfast Fundraiser: The fundraiser breakfast is Saturday morning, 10/15. Cyd deWaha has asked some parents to help coordinate and run the breakfast. Thank you to those who are helping! The girls who are not competing at MISCA are required to assist with the breakfast as well. There will be more information to come on the volunteer schedule. Continue to sell those tickets!!!

We hope you are enjoying the season thus far. Please continue to encourage your daughter to get lots of sleep, eat healthy, and stay positive during the season. We have seen a LOT of exciting things and can't wait for more!
